The news keeps getting worse for the financially desperate city of Half Moon Bay. Last year, the beachfront town of 13,300 people began talking seriously about disincorporation as a solution to its crushing financial position. The city inched closer to that decision last week, when the Half Moon Bay City Council decided to disband the police department.
